On a random walk one hot afternoon my first week in New Orleans, I wandered into a grocery store in search of refreshment. I found a familiar friend, Founders IPA, in the form of a 15 pack for just under $16. This price proved better than anywhere else in the city by as much as three dollars, depending on the location.
I was extremely lucky to stumble onto my find, which saved me at least a 100 bucks during my time in NOLA. Imagine if I could have had similar luck with all of my frequent purchases…

Well, good news! You don’t have to have luck. You just need the application Trupenni (currently available for beta access on both iPhone and Android). With a quick search, Trupenni will give you the best price on anything around.

You can use Trupenni to search by store, by stuff, or a unit of measurement (say, a gallon of milk), and Trupenni will use location data to track down the best results. Trupenni works for nabbing the best deal on both goods and services.

What’s better than price comparison engines? Having the red carpet rolled out directly for the best prices – which is exactly what Trupenni does. App users can also use Trupenni to investigate places that they intend to visit, and find the real costs of items before going. In this fashion, it also serves as a helpful budgeting tool.

My wife has an amazing knack for remembering the best place to buy particular items. I’ll come home from a store, having purchased goods out of necessity and convenience, and she’ll scold me for having paid too much on items sold cheaper elsewhere. This happens all the time.

Trupenni is our best friend in these circumstances, because is relieves us of the duty of remembering where to buy things. Simply add things to “My Stuff,” and we have a quick, foolproof reference for where we should go for fresh fish, dry cleaning, oil changes, toothpaste, etc. With minimal effort, the app makes us much smarter shoppers.

Who doesn’t like to save money? Find the best prices – the real prices – of anything, using Trupenni. Save your findings so you never miss out on great savings, and share prices with your local community. Know what others have paid for the same item at different locations, and always make purchases with the confidence that you’re not overpaying.
